Stay busy this summer by participating in the awesome events going on in and around New Lenox! From a free movie under the stars to a lively day at the farm, there is certainly much to look forward to in Will County this month!

 
On Friday July 25th grab your lawn chairs or blankets and head over to Main Park for a free movie under the stars!  The movie featured is Dolphin Tale.  This is a heartwarming film based on the true story of a young injured dolphin and the group of compassionate people that come together to save her life.  The movie begins at dusk and concessions are available.  Bring family and friends for fresh air and a good flick!

Coming up on August 16th is Mokena’s 10th annual Farm & Barn Fest! This family-friendly event will take place at the Yunker Farm, where attendants can enjoy scenic views and a variety of wholesome entertainment options. Treat your children to an afternoon of blacksmithing and sheep shearing, or try your luck at line dancing with your loved one! The aim of Farm & Barn is to show everyday folks the importance of Illinois’ farm and agricultural industry. In addition to games and activities, the day will feature a live country concert, and outdoor flea market and plenty of farm fresh foods for everyone to enjoy.
