Tree Lighting Ceremony and Festival of Trees
Don’t miss the 2014 Tree Lighting Ceremony and Festival of Trees at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th! In addition to the Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring Santa's arrival on a fire truck, Christmas music and free refreshments, the Village Hall will once again be filled with decorated trees provided by local businesses! Bring the whole family to meet Santa, have cookies and cocoa and vote for your favorite tree. If you are unable to attend on December 8th, the Festival of Trees will continue during business hours from December 8th through the 26th.

Holiday Decorations Contest
The Montgomery Beautification Committee will be sponsoring its popular Holiday Decorations Contest again this year. This is an opportunity for homes and businesses to be recognized for exceptional holiday displays. As was done last year, judges will give priority to homes and businesses that are nominated for consideration. Residents can nominate their own property or someone else's simply by submitting the property address. On December 17th, committee members and volunteer judges will visit the nominated addresses in order to select the winners. A sign will be placed that evening in front of the properties selected for an award. Owners are asked to leave these signs up through the holidays.

Nominations will be accepted up through December 15th, and judging will take place the evening of December 17th. You can nominate a property via the Village website at
www.ci.montgomery.il.us or by calling the Village of Montgomery Public Works Department at (630) 896-9241.
